Why New York City schools have a holiday of Diwali? You must know

New York State Assemblywoman Jennifer Rajkumar urged New Yorkers to respect the constitution, including Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, and Jains who live in the city.

This Diwali, the local authority of New York City has declared a public holiday for Diwali in schools.

The Diwali holiday should be included in the list of official minimum 180 days of holidays, said Honorable Assemblywoman Jennifer Rajkumar.
